Virtual Lunch & Learn Anti-Hunger Advocacy in 2023 Legislative Session

We know we can end hunger, but churches and charities cannot do it all; our government must also do its part. Federal nutrition programs, like SNAP and WIC, account for 83% of all food assistance within Indiana. These programs are federally funded but administered by the state. Unfortunately, additional administrative burdens are often raised at the state level that hinder hungry Hoosiers from accessing these programs. The coming session will prove to be especially consequential, as the legislature will be determining the state’s biennial budget.
