October SNAC Dialogue Session: Building Cross-Sectoral Partnerships

In this session there will be a short, grounding presentation about the development and maintenance of cross-sectoral partnerships. Dr. Erik Hayes, Professor of Kinesiology at Taylor University, will be presenting on his experience forming a partnership with Marion General Hospital to implement a Diabetes Prevention Program. Undergraduate students and faculty at Taylor University, referring physicians, and community champions all work together to build upon this partnership. This short presentation will be followed by breakout sessions where participants will discuss successes, challenges, resources, and next steps related to becoming involved in and maintaining cross-sectoral partnerships. We will then all come together to review how we can leverage shared strengths and resources to work together towards a stronger and more collaborative public health system.
